Victor de Mello grew up in Portugal, before moving to Rio de Janeiro at seventeen.
This sparked a life-long passion for travel and a desire to experience new cultures
thus taking him to homes as diverse as Edinburgh, Singapore, London, Cape Town,
Copenhagen and New York.
This melting pot of cultures combined with former careers as a Deep Sea Diver and
professional model are the main influences on his photographic style.
Victor's early passion for large format Polaroid photography remains intact
throughout his current work, the large format serving to transcend the modern
gloss of the contemporary photographic world into images which retain the integrity
of the classic photographers studio.
Victor is currently a contributor for a variety of international fashion and art
magazines including Harper's Bazaar (UK), Vogue (GR), Sunday Times Style, Vision,
Nuke, Wound, Italian Grazia and Madame Figaro (POR), among others,
as well as shooting campaigns for leading fashion brands such as Vivienne Westwood,
Max Factor, Cutler and Gross, Hannah Marshall, River Island, Qveen and Pilgrim.
