A recruitment consultancy which specialises in finding bi-lingual candidates, ABL are one of the best known agencies in London. With a massive global network of clients and candidates, they were running an old school website which was frankly out-dated.
Non-responsive, inconsistent and lacking any interest, we were brought in to bring their site up to speed.
With a focus on creating simple narrative for their two user bases (the clients & the candidates), we needed to split the website into two main sections; service based and job based.
The main focus for the website was to create a space which demonstrated to the client that ABL recruitment had everything covered. Outlining their specific services and demonstrating their credentials throughout the copy and with testimonials.
Branding & Design
Bringing their website up to date also meant bringing their branding up to date. A company choc-a-bloc with international specialists, we felt that it was important to bring their global influence into the mix. How better to do this than with a globe?…
Introducing bold and contrasting colours – without being garish – we wanted to bring in a sense of the company’s personality; a colourful and eclectic mix of people. This colour scheme has also found itself permeating throughout the website.
Flourishes Of Design
Attempting to make the website less corporate and more user friendly, there are certain flourishes we’ve taken with design to create a more playful sense of fun. Little ‘Click To Tweet’ boxes find themselves on each service page, encouraging users to engage with ABL Recruitment via social media:
Whilst their timeline is a nice interactive way of displaying what otherwise might be a boring chunk of text:

The Candidate Section
We wanted to make this section as simple as possible for the user to navigate, and for ABL to get contact details and CVs.
Simple drop down searches make it so easy for the user to look for the right jobs for them.
The results page is clean, non cluttered and allows the user to narrow down the results further into contract, full-time, permanent and temporary.
The actual job description section is designed to encourage the user to get in touch with the respective consultant directly in order to streamline the process… Whilst an extremely simple form allows candidates to apply within a matter of seconds:
The back-end has integrated with their in-house system to ensure that it’s as simple as can be for the staff to upload jobs and download CVs.
